Vandaag was het dan zo ver: Iedereen die de laatste maanden zenuwachtig aftelde naar de nieuwe Call Of Duty, kon eindelijk zijn favoriete spel uit de winkelrekken nemen. Dat de release van Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 wereldwijd een hoogdag was in de game-wereld, kan makkelijk aangetoond worden door de foto's van de ellenlange rijen aan de winkels die op 1 na 12 vannacht eventjes hun deuren openden zodat de échte fans hun exemplaar al mochten in ontvangst nemen.
Toch zijn er blijkbaar nog grotere fans of toch mensen die een zaakje wilden doen want vorige zaterdag 5 november werd er in het Franse Créteil een vrachtwagen met afgeschoten traangas (zeer toepasbaar bij deze shooter) overvallen door gemaskerde mannen. Hun buit: +6000 exemplaren van Modern Warefare 3. Diehard fans dus zou je kunnen denken, maar wanneer je weet dat het spel wordt verkocht tegen € 60, werd er dus voor een kleine 400.000 euro gestolen...
